How Jeevan Jalsa Began
In 2017, a small group of passionate teachers and social workers from Patna came together in North S.K. Puri. They were inspired by the concept of 'jalsa' — a festive gathering, a celebration of community and heritage rooted in Bihar's rich culture.
They saw that while Bihar's rural communities held immense potential, they lacked the structures to support their vibrant culture and growing youth. What began as an informal evening school in Patna's outskirts quickly grew into a foundation dedicated to the holistic upliftment of villages across Patna, Nalanda, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur and beyond.
